Busy Season!

So, even though I am not in a retail job anymore, I still apparently do not have any free time in December!

I have been working tons of hours still, so that is part of it, another part of it is I feel like I am being pulled in 10 different directions lately. Some good, some not so much, but mostly its ok I just have entered this phase of, I have xyz to do and blogging and honestly social media in general has taken a big back seat for me.

I will admit, I miss writing, and I miss all of the wonderful people online here but I just cannot seem to make more time for it all.

And I am ok with it, I am learning that life is busy in general and we do not always have time to do things we once deemed necesarry.

I still plan to blog and check in, but I do not plan on stressing out over it, forcing myself to do it, or just posting just because.

I do hope everyone is doing well.

As for me, I have changed a lot of habits these last few weeks. I am working on doing more core work and trying to tone up my mid section. I have cleaned up my nutrition a lot and have stopped being paleo. I found I needed to introduced some servings of healthy whole gluten free grains to allow my body enough carbohydrates to fuel ultra marathon training. It is proving to work, I am shedding body fat and feeling so much more energentic every day and during workouts.

I have been eating vegan for about 2 weeks! I know, not for the reason many vegans are vegan, I am not opposed to eating meat and animal products for moral reasons. More so I just wanted to try it to see if I would physically feel better. I will do an entire post about it this week. But I am finding it to be good so far.

I signed up for my first 100 mile race. June 14th right here in Massachusetts!!!!! I am super excited! I was originally going to go do one in MD in April but the trail running group, The Trail Animals are hosting one right here so I could not pass that up. It is so much easier to do a local race than try to travel for me, that it was a no brainer.

So I am working on this week? Planning out my new year, my 2013 goals and plans.

I cannot wait to hear everyone's!!! The time to plan is now, each year I have set myself some goals in the new year in terms of running, fitness, and life and I always work harder all year knowing I want to achieve them. But, remember a goal without a plan is just a dream.... So make yourself some goals, and then hash a plan to get them achieved. I have my race calendar planned out until June and have mapped out my training plan for my 100 miler.

So make a plan and stick to it!
