My Road Id Goes With Me

I am so behind on product reviews! SO bear with me I think the next few weeks Thursdays and or Fridays will be review days :)

I just have found some great tools and I want to share them with you!

First up we have my Road ID! I ordered my road id when I got a coupon in one of my race goody bags. i was particularly excited when I saw they had a new slim band out. For me this was the best choice. I hate to be bogged down with shit when I am running and especially during my long summer warmer runs.

Basically a road id is just a bracelet with your name, dob, and emergency contacts. Then there is an option to add anything else like allergies, medical conditions and a slogan. It just makes sense to be safe. I like to run far away from the house sometimes I go through several towns before I get back home, if anything ever happened to me I would not be easily identified by emergency personal because I do not carry much when I run.

Road Id made sense for me and it made T feel a little bit better about me out running alone. It makes me feel safer too. If anything happens I know my family will be called right away and I will receive the proper medical treatment.

So I ordered a road id and guess what? I ordered wrong size for myself, I got a small when I should have gotten a medium. No big deal right? Well I panicked a bit but I emailed the road id team and within 24 hours I had a response and a new correct size in the mail, no questions asked. I really appreciate it when a company has awesome customer service!!

I love my road id I must admit I really do not even realize it is there hehe so I am guilty of wearing it all the time.

You can tell how small it is in this pic! That little purple band is it! See not in the way at all :)

I knew it was tough when it survived the Spartan Race!!!

After doing a race in the rain and the Spartan it got me thinking, if something ever happened to me during a race it would take time to identify me too. With a road id there is not worry, my information is right there on my hand. Even when at the gym, it is there.

But my main point here is this. When you are out there working out outside be safe! For me it was a no brainer, I know if anything happens to me at anytime I can get the best possible chance of getting help and my family being able to get to me as quickly as possible.

Do you carry some form of ID when exercising outside?

{ Road Id did not ask me to review this, nor send me anything as incentive. I bought one with my own cash and felt the need to share ;) }

Hey fellow DNation'r! I have the Road ID for my shoe. Now if you don't switch out shoes alot its great. But if you are a triathlete and have the clip shoes for biking... you would need a bracelet, because who wants to transition a road ID. I will eventually get a bracelet and keep one on my run shoes as well. Great post about it! It has saved lives!

My husband ordered me a RoadID for my birthday last year and for his birthday I did the same. I placed the order and after a few weeks I still hadn't gotten it. I contacted RoadID and with hours they emailed me back saying they already shipped out a replacement order, again no questions asked! They are a great company and I make sure to tell everyone about it. Hopefully no one ever has to use the information on it but it's nice to know it's there

I love, love, love my Road ID. Mine is purple, too!

I'm ordering them for all the kids in my family (my own and my niece and nephews). I probably should get one for the hubby too.

I love my Road Id as well. I just ordered one this week for my wife Lisa. We both have black interactive ones.
