Living Paleo Daily Ideas

Living Paleo has really been helping me stay healthy and focus on eating clean, whole, healthy foods. My body feels better, I am less fatigued and especially during my workouts. It sounded like it would be hard in the beginning but honestly now it has become so routine that I do not miss things like dairy and grains.

I know a lot of people have never heard of Paleo so I find myself explaining it constantly. Yes it is a lifestyle, yes I chose to stick with it because I feel amazing, yes I do eat a lot of food, etc.. I find myself spending more time explaining it than anything. And you know what, that is ok I do not mind sharing what works for me, and answering people's questions.

So what do I eat?

Well usually I have Paleo Pie for breakfast.

I take egg whites 2 cups, 1/2 cup almond milk, cooked lean ground turkey or chicken and veggies. I mix them up and pour them into a pan I like to use a pie dish. And bake for at least an hour. I cut it into 4 wedges and I have a quick, filling, yummy breakfast that is portable enough to eat in my car on the way to work lol. Its super yummy!!
If I am home and have more than 10 minutes I prepare myself a veggie filled egg white omlet:

lunch every day is a salad, I know boring right? Not for me! I am always working on trying new seasoning styles etc so the salads are never boring. I will make my own dressing, use different lean proteins and veggies. The base is always a nice lettuce mix but the rest is always changing and quite honestly I am never bored.

One day with chicken.

Another day with beets!

Dinner is the same lean protein and vegetables but it is hot. It is here I try out new things. If I am being lazy I will throw some olive oil in a pan with onion and then toss in whatever vegetables I feel like and sometimes add my chicken. Or I will grill or bake the chicken and pair it along side the veggies. If I am really pressed for time I use the steam fresh frozen veggies the plain ones and pair it with my protein. I know it sounds simple but again it is all on how you prepare it.

This was using lean ground turkey to make a meat loaf style meal.

2 scrambles with meat and veggies.

What does a typical day look like for you with your meals?
