Today I wanted to tell you about my compression sleeves that I wear on my calves made by Zensah! When I first started running I got shin splints and wanted to quit running. Honestly when I weighed 230 pounds and started out running a lot on my body hurt. But slowly and steadily I plugged along and kept trying.
When the shin splints got out of control over the winter as I was training for my first half marathon I sought out some help. I saw several bloggers talk about compression sleeves and how it had helped their shins. I have monster calves as I like to refer to them LOL they are 15 inches in diameter and no matter what I do they are not going away! I have gotten used to it, not being able to rock some skinny jeans, or cute high boots, but when running they need a little extra TLC. So I decided to try out the compression sleeves. I figured if nothing else it could not make things worse.
Well I am happy to report they worked well for me!! When I run with them my calves stay happy and by this I mean there is no tightness during or after a run. I also noticed a decline in the pain from my shin splints which us what I was looking for. I will not run without my calf sleeves now a days.

Couldn't agree more - love my Zensah sleeves!!
I had never heard of compression sleeves before but will definitely have to try them since I usually start getting major shin pain 2 minutes into my run. Thanks!
What size did you buy? I have large calfs too and bought L/XL. They don't seem as tight as my CEP ones so I'm not sure if I should go down a size or not. So I'm wondering did you buy the L/XL and if so do they work as well having a looser fit?
