She gave me this analogy which helped me really get over the slow down of my progress and why these last 4 pounds are coming off slowly. She compared my loss to squeezing a lemon. When you make juice at first a lot comes out quickly, but then you have to keep squeezing to get the rest out. And before you are done to get the last bit out you really have to squeeze extra hard. Weight loss is like thatthose last few pounds you know are there are just stubborn and you have to work extra hard. I never thought of it like that, it really made more sense to me! So thanks for your great advice again Stacy!
I plan to crush the lemon lol
So now I am a woman on a mission! I am going to squeeze the last few pounds off in the next coming weeks and hit all my mile stones once and for all! First up will be hitting the big 100 pounds lost. Current I weigh 154.4 so that means I have 1.8 left to lose to make it. Then 4.4 to go till I hit lifetime!!!!
I am going back to basics, back to what I know how to do best, exercise hard and eat a little less. One serving of carbohydrates at breakfast (my 1/3 cup of oats) and then rest of the day lean protein and fruits and veggies! No refined sugars, no salt, and no dairy. I cut dairy out march 1st and it has made my stomach issues so much better! So its a little harder being gluten and dairy free but I have come to enjoy some almond milk! Plus it is a lot less carbs which helps with my over all goal ;)
Today I am prepping some chicken breasts with some Mrs. Dash and baking them for salad toppers for the week and I got in a great workout this morning at the gym!
How was your weekend?

i'm not sure if you have considered this but if you have been on calorie restrictive diet for a long time and exercising intensely hormones start to come into a play as a big factor.
In fact losing weight is all about manipulating hormones with food.
Sometimes slow progression means your metabolism is slowing down over time and needs to be reset.
If this is the case the only successful way I've found is to cycle calorie amount throughout the week.
I often have one day where I eat a lot (e.g pizza, fish and chips, cakes etc) and I do this every once or twice a month … not only does this reset the body but the brain too … maybe an option
Raymond
Hmmmm interesting Raymond I never thought about it like that. I have heard of people doing that.
Well I guess I should be good for a month I had a bad eating day on Thursday so we will see this month should bring that final few pounds off!
How do you feel though on those days? I felt like crap thursday night and working out Friday was aful cuz I still felt like crap, and even saturday! I feel normal again now day 3 of clean eating again.
Thanks for your advice always keeps me thinking and helpful!!
What a great analogy!! So proud of you for sticking with WW and seeing it through to the end!!
i'm so intrigued by your clean eating! Being only a month into weight watchers, i feel like i've been running in survival mode. most of my eating habits have improved tremendously (i.e. more fruits and veggies, lots of water, lean proteins etc) but i do find that i'm filling in with junky, processed (although low point) foods to satisfy cravings. For example a fiber one chocolate bar between meals for a sweet craving. Sometime I'd love to see a sample of your daily tracker to see if I could ever even consider 'cleaning' up my diet. Good for you for being so close to your goal!
I'm sorry you're having leader issues at WW, but I'm so glad you're sticking with it!
I've never ever been close to goal, so I can't relate to the slow weight loss frustration that much, but I'm proud of you for not giving up. You'll get there!
I'm so glad you're sticking with it!! Stacy's analogy is awesome. Hang in there!
Love you!!
xoxo
Breaking down those final lbs. into a couple of mini goals makes sense and will help to give you a sense of momentum. Good for you for sticking with it - I have no doubt you'll make your goals!!
