This year I hope to accomplish so much, I had such a good year this past year losing 84.6 pounds in 10 months and learning how to exercise and eat healthy without feeling like I am on a diet or depriving myself. I have Weight Watchers to thank for getting me on track and keeping me there. I have learned so much about myself and my body and what keeps it healthy and feeling good. I have learned that I love to run, that buried deep inside my body was a lean mean running machine yearning to come out.
I have learned that preparation is key to losing weight and staying on track especially when you have a toddler, full time job, part time nursing classes and fitness all worked into your daily routine! Cooking has become mandatory for me and I love taking recipes and making them tasty and healthy. I also have come to lvoe blogging, and networking online and meeting so many different people on the same journey as myself. It keeps me going and helps me to gain more knowledge about my struggles.
I have come to love going shopping! of all things I dreaded most when I was unhealthy shopping was definetly up there in the top 3. I love going out and am just happy and comfortable in my own skin. This is a gift I have given myself with my hard work and ddication. This is what I do it for, that feeling of accomplishment and pride I have when I walk into a room. I am no longer hiding my body and I am no longer dreading taking a family photo. I am happier and healthier than I have ever been in my adult life. I no longer take 7 medications every day, I no longer struggle with depression.
Did all of this happen over night? NOPE! It took months and months of work, hard grueling work, discipline, and diligence to get where I am today. And I am not done. I have registered for my first half marathon and I want to run a full one by the end of 2011. I want to get to goal weight and become a life time Weight Watchers member. Most of all, I hope to inspire more people along the way and help anyone who like me never imagined this could be possible. I have found a charity Girls on the Run, whom I am looking forward to working with this year. I am so excited for the new year and the new changes yet to come!
