No excuses are acceptable!

Well I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! I took my daughter out and it was so much fun! We had a good time she is just turning 15 months so she waddled around to some houses and I pushed her in her stroller :)

Me and my bunny sorry I could not resist sharing :)

I do have a confession to make: I did consume a little bit of Halloween candy. I am not perfect and I never claimed to be but I feel I had to confess. I had 4 fun size bars last night and 2 small tootsie rolls today. I normally would have eaten a lot more in past years so I know I did well. I sent out the rest of the candy last night with my sister so there will be no more slip ups :) I am trying not to beat myself up too much about it I did get in 2 strong workouts this weekend.

That brings me to my next thought the main one for this post. There are no excuses I will accept for myself when it comes to skipping a workout and you should not accept any either. I was having a pretty crappy day just over tired, and cranky. I thought I would come home and just relax but I knew deep down inside it would not help me feel better. Well when I came home the baby was sleeping! I knew I had to make the most of the quiet time so I went to On Demand and cued up Jillian Michaels Boost Your Metabolism. It is a cardio based kick boxing inspired rock your body kind of workout!

After that I cued up my latest favorite Shred It With Weights and did it with my 15 lb kettle bell. I love that workout so much! I just love how it combines cardio and strength training and really works my core. When I was done I must admit I did not burn my normal 700 calories but I will take this:

You know why? Because it is 300 more calories I have burned and it is 47 more minutes of cardio than I expected to get in today. I did not want to workout but I did not accept defeat, I persevered and this is how you get results. Even if you do not have time to get to the gym, or get outside, you can get in a workout. And it was totally free there is hundreds of free exercise videos just waiting for you to cue them up on your cable box!

So no excuses this week! :)

You are just awesome girl! I won't tell you how much candy I ate. I am SO mad at myself. I can't even give this stuff away!

You do inspire me though!!!

Super job. I expected to eat much more candy than I have. For some reason all the chocolate tastes artificial to me so that has kept me away from it.

I am good for skipping workout but I totally agree when you make yourself do them despite not really feeling like it, it's so rewarding.

My partner and I really enjoyed reading this blog post, I was just itching to know do you trade featured posts? I am always trying to find someone to make trades with and merely thought I would ask.

Giving the Halloween candy away was a key for me. By the end of the night, I was giving away handfuls to the kiddos just so I wouldn't have any left.

Kudos on knowing your weakness and your downfalls and pushing through!

Karen good for you for giving it away its better than keeping it in the house for sure

I think one of your advertisements caused my internet browser to resize, you might want to put that on your blacklist.
