Workout for Tonight!!!!

Tonight I got into the gym and began on the elliptical. I find when I do the elliptical first, I have more energy to run and make it the full 20 minutes on the treadmill. So I did 25 minutes on the elliptical.I do a reverse cross train routine, this means I pedal forward for 5 minutes and then backwards for 2 minutes so you are working muscles in your front and back. I really think this is what has helped my back side 'pop' back out if ya know what I mean lol....


Then I did 20 minutes on the treadmill. I was so excited I took a picture tonight because I finally made it 2 miles in the 20 minutes :)
It was not easy to run this much. I kept the treadmill on a speed of 5.8-6.2 and then towards the end I realized I might now make the 2 mile marker so I turned the treadmill up to 7.5 and rocked it for the last minute!!! It was so hard and I honestly wanted to quit like 3 times but I just kept pushing and pushing and I now know I can do it.


I ended the night with my usual No More Trouble Zones weight training workout. In total I worked out 70 minutes and burned a whopping 540 calories :)
I ended with some stretching and of course my ISO-100 protein shake. I think it is important to drink a protein shake when you complete a work out so that your muscles can recover. This is important, a lot of people take these protein shakes that are loaded with fat and calories, thats ok if you are maintaining your weight.
